Ads, Ads, everywhere, and no relief in sight!

What in the hell is wrong with advertisers these days? Or maybe it's just that I can't get into something enough to shrug off and ignore advertisements?

I mean, when you're watching a game on the tube, you fully expect that there are going to be some annoyingly long commercials at the half, or during the seventh inning stretch, but they've sold almost every flat surface that you see on the screen, and even some not-so-flat surfaces. I'm waiting to see some sort of add to pop up on Trent Green's ass when they show him in the huddle, or maybe some rolling ticker on someone's bat during World Series. But who honestly wants to see the adverts flicker behind a batter or the logo that isn't really on the football field? It's too distracting.

They are getting smart, you know. Advertisers understand that in the TiVO age, we can just delay the game at the beginning and start skipping commercials. Most people use the TiVO to pause and record shows, not so they can skip around during a sports game.... Never mind the fact that the rest of us don't own a video machine like that and are forced to watch or click away.....and what's up with the crappy trivia no one cares about, brought to you by Geico, or the poll of irrelevancy brought to you by AT&T??? That's pretty damned annoying; it's forced advertising...

I just can't wait until they start putting fake advert signs in the stands when they do a crowd pan.... No more, Always Bet Cats (ABC...haha)....it'll be Viagra or Pepsi or new Pepsi with Viagra....
